Children’s Art Classes in Tilehurst That Kids Call ‘Super Fun!

“Super Fun!” — Listening to My Young Artists

At the end of this term, I invited the children who attend my Art & Craft classes to share their honest thoughts through a short questionnaire. Twenty-five children took part — and reading their feedback has been incredibly heart-warming, motivating, and affirming.

One statistic truly stood out:

✨ 72% of children described the classes as “Super Fun.” ✨

The remaining children described them as “Pretty Fun” — meaning 100% of children reported having fun in class!

As an art teacher, that matters deeply to me. When children are enjoying themselves, they’re relaxed, confident, and open to learning — and that’s where real creativity flourishes.

Five-Star Smiles & Proud Reviews

The written reviews from the children were full of enthusiasm, joy, and honesty. Many took the time to leave five-star reviews, with comments including:

Several children also shared how much they love the club as a whole, mentioning how they “love everything” and always enjoy coming back. Hearing this directly from the children themselves is incredibly special — and a reminder of why I do what I do!

What This Tells Me as a Teacher

The feedback confirms that the classes are:

  1. Engaging and enjoyable

  2. Creative and varied

  3. A safe space where children feel happy and confident

  4. Something children genuinely look forward to each week

Seeing so many five-star reviews and “Super Fun” responses tells me that the balance of structure, freedom, play, and creativity is working — and that the children feel supported to explore their ideas without pressure.

Using This Feedback to Be the Best Art Teacher I Can Be

Listening to children’s voices is incredibly important to me. Their feedback helps shape how I plan, teach, and grow.

From their responses, it’s clear that they particularly love:

  • painting

  • clay modelling

  • hands-on, tactile projects

  • seasonal and themed crafts

I’ll be using this insight to:

  • plan even more of the activities they love most

  • introduce new materials and creative techniques

  • keep sessions playful, varied, and exciting

  • continue creating a space where fun comes first and confidence grows naturally

While it’s wonderful to receive such positive feedback, I also see this as a responsibility — to keep learning, evolving, and making each class as joyful and creative as possible.

Thank You

To every child who took part in the questionnaire — thank you. Your words, reviews, and enthusiasm mean more than you know. Knowing that so many of you describe the classes as “Super Fun” and worthy of five stars motivates me to keep showing up as the best art teacher I can be.

Here’s to more paint-splattered tables, clay-covered hands, big ideas, and even bigger smiles. 🎨✨
